You wanna show your mates and every noob out there, who's the boss.

You want to fly down into the playing field like the Almighty Pickle Rick and literally make everyone jealous whilst you slaughter them.

But your wallet and everything in it is saying "nah uh, I'm outta here. You must be crazy."

So what do you do how can you get some free V-bucks in Fortnite?

Here's how.

Just hold on a second.

The methods below are all the (and only) ways that you can get free V-bucks in Fortnite.

The big bummer is that all of the ways below except for one requires you to purchase the Players vs. Enemies (PvE) mode, Save the World to earn the free V-Bucks.

This mode is the original game by Fortnite that launched as an early access title back on July 25, 2017 for Xbox One, PS4, Windows, macOS.

While there are other special editions, the standard game (and the lowest price) is $39.99. Once you've purchased the game, you can earn free V-Bucks using the methods below.

It really sucks, but there's still hope. If you can wait, Epic Games (Fortnite's creators) have said that Save the World (the Mode we want) will become free sometime in 2018.

We still have a lot of features to add before the PvE campaign is complete. We will launch the Save the World PvE campaign for free in 2018.  – Epic Games

The other issue is if you're an iOS (and eventually Android) user since Save the World is currently unavailable. So the only way for you to use the first five methods below that I have written is to access your PC (Windows or macOS), Xbox One or PS4 and play the game there. The V-Bucks you earn will carry over, as Epic Games tries to include cross-progressions over for you on your mobile too.

Let's dive right in.

How to Get Free V-Bucks in Fortnite Battle Royale:  6 Ways

It helps if you want to jot these methods (or create a checklist) as you read so that you can keep up whilst trying it on your Fortnite.

1.  Don't Play Every Fortnite. Play Every Day.

The first way, that you should be already doing to earn V-Bucks, is by logging into Save the World mode each day.

For each day that you log in, you'll gain a reward which can range from cosmetic items all the way to V-Bucks.

The first day that you'll earn free V-Bucks is Day 11 (which means the eleventh day that you log into your Save the World Mode). Following that, the next day where you can get the same V-Bucks will be on Day 28. (the twenty-eighth day that you log in).

Now I know, it's not a lot of V-Bucks that you get when you should be rewarded more, but all in all this is far the most easiest method to get free V-Bucks on Fortnite Battle Royale.

Every V-Buck counts.

2.  Complete the Daily Quests.

After you've advanced through the main storyline of Save the World, you'll get access to Daily Quests.

Daily Quests are pretty similar tothe Daily Challenges that you can find in Battle Royale mode. Basically what you do is each day you'll receive one Daily Quest that requires you do a particular task to complete. It can be killing X number of enemies with a certain type of hero or even completing X number of mission by a certain type of hero.

Once you complete the quest, you'll get a minimum of 50 V-Bucks, with only 3 Daily Quests offering more than that amount.

Similar to Daily Challenges, if you don't complete the quest for that day, then another will be added the next day you log in with the max amount of three Daily Quests.

So in order to get more V-Bucks you'll need to complete more Daily Quests and when you have three Daily Quests you need to complete at least one to receive a new quest. 🙂

You can find Daily Quests in your Fortnite main menu and under Quests at the very top. Tap that and under Daily Quests you'll find all the available "jobs" you have.

3.  Storm through the Storm Shield Missions.

The third way you can earn V-Bucks is to complete the Storm Shield Missions.

If you don't already know what they are, well, these are missions in each of the four areas that you unlock as you progress through the main storyline in Save the World. (it helps to understand the jargon that you don't understand, just by trying out Save the World mode in your Fortnite).

Basically, each area has 6 Storm Shield Missions as you begin with it, and the remaining 4 unlocked ones are as Side Quests (I'll get to this in a bit) which you will come across as you progress further into the game.

The best part? You get 100 V-Bucks for all the missions except the 10th mission which for that you get 150 V-bucks.

You can find the Storm Shield Missions as you progress through the Save the World mode in your Fortnite.

4.  Complete the Challenges & the Side Quests.

Okay. Remember how I talked about Side Quests just about a few minutes ago? Yeah those are entirely another set of quests that you can complete to also earn V-Bucks.

Now, not all Side Quests get you V-Bucks (Fortnite is pretty picky about these things) but the great part is that there are some Side Quests which gets you up to 150 V-Bucks.

Next up, Challenges. Challenges are little different from Side Quests because they are unlocked at different times during the main storyline which you go through. Challenges can be completed up to 10 times and the great thing about that is it gets you up to 50 V-bucks per completion.

So let's make use of some Math we learnt in pre-school for this,

10 (completions) x 50 = 500 V-Bucks per Challenge.

Which is a lot especially since you're just retrying the Challenges.

You can find both Challenges  and Side Quests  in your Fortnite main menu under the Quests which is at the top.

5.  Participate in Events.

No. You don't need to wear your sweatpants or even get out of the house.

Events are a whole another set of quests which you can try out right through the comfort of your Fortnite main menu. Participating in these Events can provide tons of items including V-Bucks.

Now these Events happen weekly and they include several different quests which will get you V-Bucks.

You can find the Events in your Fortnite main menu under Quests at the top.

6. Buy V-Bucks to Get Free V-Bucks.

The last and only other method you can try to get free V-Bucks in Fortnite involves you having to buy V-Bucks.

Yes, it does kinda defeat the whole purpose of this guide but it's still a more indirect way of getting dem V-Bucks for free.

All packages except the $9.99 packages will get you free V-Bucks when you buy it. While the $24.99 package doesn't really provide a valuable reward, the $59.99 package does provide you an additional $15 worth of free V-Bucks. The $99.99 Package also includes a great deal too, giving you an additional $35 worth of free V-bucks when you buy it.

Choose the one you want based on what you need.

Be Careful

Don't  fall for any of the "Free V-Bucks" scams that you might come across that tries to offer you free V-bucks. The methods above (that is written) are all and the only legit methods that actually work and there is no other method out there that works to earn free V-Bucks.

Now you might have just read the above paragraph and you might be thinking or trying to search for ways to get hacks or even code one yourself. Don't.  Using hacks can not only get you banned from Fortnite , but you may have to deal with the legal shit that comes with it too.

Fortnite is unlike any other game, in the sense, they don't f*** around when it comes to the hacks and mods because if one person was to use hacks then it won't be fair or a good experience for the 99 other players that play with you, would it?

It just brings down this beautiful, sophisticated yet fun game crumbling down.

It's understandable that it isn't fair for you if the premium guys get some cool stuff and most of the ways to get the cool stuff requires some form of converting your real cash for it, but know that Battle Royale is free and you don't really need all those cool stuff to be the best player. Otherwise if you really want it then pay for it, unlike other games or companies (ahem, EA) which charges you $60 then f***s with your wallet with micro-transactions, Fortnite doesn't try do that (and hopefully stays that way) and the money you use to buy stuff supports them to make the game better and add more worlds, faster servers and an overall better experience.

Sorry for the long note 😌, just looking out for your ass.

Who knows, they might even let you stand on that cool-ass guided missile launcher so that you can have some fun with annihilation.
